India Pale Ale
Here at Batemans we're on a grand tour of the great hop growing countries of the world. Created over 200 years ago in England, India Pale Ale was brewed strong and packed with hops to help survive the long sea journey to the British Empire in India. Now a beer style brewed around the world, the USA is the largest hop grower to satisfy their thirst for the American IPA. The recipe is a blend of malts from Flagon and Tipple barleys and single variety Worcester Golding hops. Having matured in oak, the beer tastes of plums, port, malt, brandy, vanilla and almonds. An ale to be celebrated.
