The Kings Head is a charming traditional 16th-century thatched public house, prominently positioned in the heart of the thriving market town of Horncastle. One of the town’s oldest and most recognisable buildings, the property is renowned for its historic character, featuring intimate low-beamed ceilings, cosy drinking areas and a welcoming atmosphere. The responsibility for maintaining the iconic thatched roof remains with Batemans Brewery.
During the warmer months, customers can enjoy the pub’s attractive and secluded floral courtyard to the rear, providing a peaceful outdoor space that complements the character of the property. Internally, the main entrance from Bull Ring leads into two separate bar areas, each offering a traditional and intimate setting steeped in history.
A compact commercial kitchen provides an opportunity for a new operator to expand and enhance the existing food offering, creating potential to increase both customer dwell time and turnover. The Kings Head offers considerable scope to build upon its established reputation and unique heritage.
