Continuing our investment in the Batemans pub estate, The Ship Inn has recently undergone a transformation to improve the appeal of this much-loved local pub. An exterior facelift, with works to the roof and windows, and interior improvements to the trade and toilet areas, give this community gem the edge.
We are also pleased to introduce Nigel and Mandy Bradbury as new landlords. Nigel and Mandy are experienced licensees and decided the time was right to take on the Ship Inn in Chapel St Leonards. Already familiar with the Batemans name, they knew the local pub from time spent on the east coast in their touring caravan.
Nigel and Mandy are keen to retain the traditional family pub atmosphere of this local pub and are looking to develop the food offering. As well as running a popular community pub, they are also looking to develop the small but perfectly formed touring caravan site to the rear. Next time you’re in the area, why not stop by and say hello?
We certainly know how to put on a good show, year round we hold a variety of events.
