Available in June / July
As the excitement builds ahead of the World Cup, we are proud to bring back England Expects 4.0%, a classic English ale brewed especially for supporters ready to cheer the nation on throughout the tournament.
England Expects is designed to bring football fans together in the best possible setting: great company, a lively atmosphere and a perfectly poured pint.
Available Exclusively in Pubs
England Expects has been brewed specifically for the on-trade, making it the ideal centrepiece for pubs looking to create an unforgettable World Cup atmosphere.
To make the tournament even more engaging behind the bar for drinkers, we have created a striking new design for our unique interactive three-part pump clip that evolves with England’s fortunes throughout the competition.
All three interchangeable pump clips are cleverly designed in the shape of a classic football shirt, with the large number 4 from the beer’s 4.0% ABV displayed prominently on the back, just like a squad number on a player’s shirt. Number 4 was the number on the back of the famous Nobby Stiles in England’s World Cup victory at Wembley against the Germans, in 1966.
- The first clip proudly displays England Expects, setting the tone for optimism as the tournament begins.
- Should the unthinkable happen, publicans can swap the centre section to the tongue-in-cheek “We’ve Blown It” clip, guaranteed to raise a smile and spark conversation among supporters after a disappointing result.
- And if England go all the way, the final section reveals the ultimate celebratory clip: “WINNERS”, transforming the pump clip into a triumphant tribute behind the bar.
The clip-together concept gives pubs a fun and interactive way to follow England’s progress throughout the tournament while creating extra theatre and customer engagement at the bar.
Whether it’s pre-match anticipation, post-match analysis or celebrating a famous England victory, England Expects belongs at the heart of the pub experience.
